Summer 2008: Safe Drain® Inc. installed 40 mini Safe Drain® storm drain containment devices in the baggage handling area at Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW).
These “mini” Safe Drains® were installed specifically to stop deicing fluid but are now able to contain any hazardous material before it gets below ground. Once installed, DFW became 100% compliant with EPA standards regarding the release of hazardous materials, specifically deicing fluid.
Safe Drain Inc.® developed a modified smaller version of our standard patented Safe Drain® to spec for DFW to be easily installed by our field service personnel and then opened/closed quickly by DFW employees. Safe Drain® can and has built and installed all manner of size and shape storm drain containment systems for different applications in all types of conditions and weather across the U.S. and into Canada.
